I strive to provide heartfelt quality education on re-training the nervous system to move in ways that improve function, reduce pain and optimize performance. I offer private sessions and workshops to teach the foundations of movement, the importance of human gait in achieving our health potential, as well as challenging our bones to be strong and healthy to support our frame.
BIO-MECHANICS OF MOVEMENT
The joyful feeling of freedom of movement is often appreciated only when it can no longer be achieved. We understand how frustrating it can be to lose the ability to control or achieve the movements you desire or to suffer from chronic pain. Whether you are recovering from an accident, fed up with long term pain and mobility issues or an athlete seeking to improve your performance and reflexes, through somatic education and neuromuscular movement re-education we can target the way in which the brain sends and receives signals. We improve movement coordination to maximize the collaborative functioning of the skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems.
We blend scientific knowledge of anatomy and gait with an understanding of the psychology and spirituality of movement. Using manual therapy and patterns of movement we remove roadblocks to healing. We go beyond traditional physical therapy to educate clients on becoming more self-aware in order to naturally select movements that will relieve physical stress, help prevent future injury and improve performance.
Integrative learning through movement exploration (physical and emotional), allows evolving aliveness of one’s self-image. Explored creatively without judgement, movement patterns improve and the positive impact extends beyond the individual to the world.
Beyond the traditional study of gait characteristics, we explore a comprehensive map using Integral Human Gait SM theory in order to discover the “how” of walking that improves physical comfort, emotional well-being, security, and happiness.
Developed by Ruthy Alon, three dynamic and fast acting programs are designed to safely challenge your bones to be strong and sturdy even when sitting, and improve balance, coordination, confidence and skill when moving.
Do you have pain that doesn’t seem to be treatable? Total Motion Physical Therapy using Total Motion Release (TMR) is a comprehensive technique that gives the power of treatment to the patient.

I’ve seen Carol twice for knee and hip pain. She listens to me and asks questions to ensure she understands the issue. She is very thorough and it’s evident that she cares about her clients. I was fortunate that both times she was able to provide immediate relief. More importantly, she helped me prevent the problems from recurring.
After working with Carol at Montgomery Somatics, my strength and ability has increased, and my pain has decreased. Honestly it is just a joy to work with Carol, and motivates me to be the best possible version of myself. The environment is calming, with soothing music, hints of essential oil, and flowers blooming. Her sidekick Major, a trained therapy dog, is a sweet and gentle friend you can't miss.
I have had the privilege of Carol's extensive teaching and guidance for several years. This invaluable experience has and continues to improve the quality of my life physically and mentally. She is a pleasure to work with and to know.
Carol is a lifesaver! Five stars is not enough... Twenty would be more appropriate. With her kind and caring heart and skilled hands, she relieved pain with my back, legs and feet in two days of intensive work that a year and a half of PT improved; but, could not alleviate. For me, the mark of a true healer is that unique combination of tremendous skill and empathy . In my opinion that describes Carol perfectly!. She is one in a million! Carol, I will always be grateful..
“I am very thankful that I have had you as a mentor for me as a Physical Therapist. You are one of the most brilliant PTs that I have worked with in my 34 years - Your continual compassion and empathy for our patients is inspiring.”
